Yazmin in Concert on the Rooftop with Prudence Johnson

A vocalist, pianist, and songwriter, Yasmin is originally from Wisconsin and now resides in New Orleans. Her lifelong passion for Cuban music led her to study the island’s culture. She is on tour with her powerhouse  trio Beat Zero, creating a riveting fusion of Latin-jazz, funk, and folk/rock, all driven  by her heartfelt songwriting. Her songs weave between English and Spanish, inviting  listeners to cross between worlds with each note. Beat Zero features Yazmin’s powerful keyboard playing and soaring vocals along with the talents of Grammy-nominated Álvaro Benavides, from New York City, on bass, and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Gillespie, from Minneapolis, on drums. Yazmin will welcome her special guest, vocalist Prudence Johnson.
