NATO has been one of the most successful military alliances in history, and for over 75 years it has secured the peace and stability of Europe, a firm bedrock for freedom and economic growth. With renewed challenges from Russia, and a return to Transatlantic hesitancy from Washington, the Future of NATO and European Security is a challenging problem. The American perception doesn't always account for the European perspective in their search for security, rooted as it is in history and the Continental competition for leadership.

The question before us is: Does Europe have an answer for its current search for security? Does it have the will and ability to continue to provide peace and prosperity to its citizens?
