About the Event
Dandelion Day & Doors Open at the Godfrey House
Sunday, May 19
10:00 am–5:00 pm
Enjoy the 35th Annual Dandelion Day Celebration at the Ard Godfrey House and celebrate Harriet Godfrey’s introduction of dandelion seeds to St. Anthony Falls. The house is the oldest surviving wood frame house in Minneapolis. Woman’s Club members fought for its preservation, refurbished it, and have cared for it for nearly 50 years. The Club’s stewardship of the house was a gift to the city of Minneapolis in recognition of our country’s bicentennial in 1976. This year, Dandelion Day coincides with Doors Open Minneapolis—the citywide event that allows people to explore buildings that are rarely open to the public. There will be music throughout the day: 11:00 am–noon Fiddles on Fire 1:00–2:00 pm Mike Keyes & Jim Kranz —The Blue Mooners 3:00–4:00 pm Nick Jordan & Dick Danaher.
This event is FREE - we would love to see you there!
