Patrick Scully has been at the forefront of the local arts and activism scene since his college days at the University of Minnesota in the 1970s. A recipient of the McKnight Foundation Artist Fellowship, the Sage Award for lifetime contribution to dance in Minnesota, a Playwrights’ Center Jerome Fellowship, and the Sally Award, Patrick was also the founder of Patrick’s Cabaret in Minneapolis. His life is now being
documented in a new film. A party at The Woman’s Club will raise the final funds to complete the film.
Scheduled to appear are Joe Chvala Flying Foot Forum, Susan Di Palma, Prudence Johnson, Eyenga Bokamba, Patrick Scully, Andrew Peterson, Cyn Collins, and Laura Stone-Jeraj. In addition to screening a clip from The Dance is Not Over, Joe Chavala’s Flying Foot Forum’s short film, Cookaphony, will also be presented. Red carpet, performances, auction, film, hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and dancing.
