About the Event
Doug Anderson has been an actor/ dancer/ performer in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area for 40+ years. Performing at the Guthrie, Chanhassen Dinner Theater, Hey City Theater, Center City Theater to mention a few. He has performed his cabaret show at The Hey City Theater, The Bryant Lake Bowl and Crooner’s Dunsmore Room. In London he’s performed at The St. James Theater (now The Other Palace), Piaño, Crazy Coq’s, The Music Café, and The Phoenix Arts Club.
Gregg is delighted to be performing in an official capacity again after a long hiatus from the stage following acceptance of an early retirement package from a corporate career spanning more than 20-years. During his corporate years, Gregg’s musical and theatrical urges have been-fed through his heavy involvement in the music and youth programs at Unity Minneapolis church as choir member, playwright, theater director, and Board of Trustees member. Gregg is also an active volunteer with the equine therapy center, We Can Ride in Medina, MN where he is working towards certification as a therapeutic riding instructor.
Gregg’s performance background includes a degree in Theater from Minnesota State University – Mankato. Favorite roles over the years have included Cornelius Hackl in Hello Dolly, Cliff Bradshaw in Cabaret, Ensemble - When Pigs Fly - Minneapolis Musical Theatre, Mona Kent in Dames at Sea – Gaydar Productions, Nicholas in The Candy Ass Club – The Early Stage, and Greg Gardner in A Chorus Line. Coincidentally, A Chorus Line is where a life-long friendship with Doug Anderson was forged and we’ve been “one, thrilling combination” ever since. Gregg wants to express his special thanks to Lori Dokken for all of her friendship and mentorship over the years; and especially her support of this milestone collaboration for Doug and me.
