MPLS Comedy Festival: June 13 - 19

The Theater at The Woman’s Club is home to 10 comedy shows during the Minneapolis Comedy Festival. Concerts include Pinky Patel, JR De Guzman, Steve-O, Josh Wolf, Donnell Rawlings, Matteo Lane, Jared Freid, Chris Red, That’s Messed Up: An SVU Podcast, and Dusty Slay & Brian Simpson.

Pinky Patel: Hello My Priends Tour
Monday, June 13 | Doors Open at 6:00 pm | Show at 7:00 pm

Originally from Illinois, Pinky Patel is a PTA mom turned creator, comedian, and personality with a fan base of over 5 million. She is best known for her hilarious commentary and viral videos from her glam cave that have garnered over 78 million likes on TikTok.

JR De Guzman: An Evening

Combining music and comedy, JR serenades the audience into laughter with songs, jokes, and stories of traveling the world, culture, and family.

Steve-O: The Bucket List Tour
Wednesday, June 15 | Doors Open at 6:00 pm | Show at 7:00 pm

Jackass star, stand-up comedian, and New York Times best-selling author, Steve-O brings his Bucket List Tour to Minneapolis. Every idea on Steve-O’s bucket list was so ill-advised, he never expected to go through any of them. Until it was time to prepare for this tour. Not only are the stunts more ridiculous than what you already know Steve-O for, he did them all and made a multimedia comedy show out of them. For adult audiences only (18 and up only).

VIP includes: one reserved premium seat in the front rows, meet and greet with Steve-O after the show, a VIP lanyard.

Josh Wolf
Thursday, June 16 | Doors Open at 6:00 pm | Show at 7:00 pm

Josh Wolf is a comedian, actor, and New York Times bestselling author. He is a round table guest and writer on E!’s “Chelsea Lately” and “After Lately.” In 2006, Josh appeared on “Last Comic Standing,” and a recurring role on “My Name is Earl.” He followed that with hosting “Shark After Dark” which aired during “Shark Week” on the Discovery Channel. This led to him becoming host of the series “Naked and Afraid.” Josh has over 900,000 followers on YouTube.

Donnell Rawlings

Donnell first became recognized for his sketches as Ashy Larry on “Chappelle’s Show.” Currently, he is starring in the HBO series “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, and it was recently announced that he is one of four comedy specials that Dave Chappelle has chosen to produce for Netflix. His third comedy album is “Y’all Need to Chill.”

Matteo Lane

Matteo is a New York-based comedian whose stand-up special can be seen on Netflix’s “The Comedy Lineup.” He has also appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” HBO’s “Crashing,” and “Will and Grace.” Fluent in five languages and with a singing range of six octaves, Matteo lived in Italy as an oil painter and opera singer before starting his comedy career.

Jared Freid

Jared is a stand-up comedian based in New York City with a focus on dating and relationships. Jared is the host of the podcasts: “U Up?” and “JTrain Podcast.” Following episodes of “The Bachelor,” he goes live on YouTube with “Rose Rehash.” In 2019, Jared released his first full-length comedy album, “Always a Momma Bear,” which debuted at #1 on the iTunes Comedy Charts.

Chris Redd: Why Am I Like This

Chris is an actor, writer, stand-up comic, and rapper. He is a cast member on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” and also stars in the NBC comedy, “Kenan.” He is also starring in the Peacock series “Bust Down,” and has an hour long special in the works for HBO Max. In 2018, Chris received the Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for the SNL song, “Come Back, Barack.”

That’s Messed Up: An SVU Podcast
