About the Club
The year was 1907. Fire engines were powered by horses, suffragettes were fighting for the right to vote, and 39 women—all leaders in civic, cultural and educational affairs—founded The Woman's Club of Minneapolis.
Their vision was clear: to create a space where people united by a spirit of advocacy and kinship could gather to better the world and themselves. They succeeded.
Today, 100 years later, the Woman's Club is a vibrant community that embraces people with a wide variety of backgrounds and interests. Housed in a landmark building overlooking picturesque Loring Park, the Club thrives because it has remained relevant, welcoming and influential—while quietly defying stereotypes and transforming lives.
