Tuesday Programs: What Christmas Means to You
Guest Speaker: Philip Brunelle
Christmas means many things to many people–as it has always been! Do you think Santa is Dutch, or that his red suit was brought to you courtesy of Coca-Cola? Or are you dreaming of a white Christmas like the one you used to know?
The stories, legends and songs are what makes this holiday so special and unique. Join American conductor Philip Brunelle as we explore the early centuries of Christmas and how we got to where we are today!
Philip is the artistic director and founder of VocalEssence and is an internationally renowned conductor, choral scholar and visionary. He has made his lifelong mission the promotion of the choral art in all its forms, especially rarely heard works of the past and outstanding new music. Philip has conducted symphonies (New York Philharmonic, Seattle Symphony, and Minnesota Orchestra among others) as well as choral festivals and operas on six continents.
Members are encouraged to bring friends and family to this truly special holiday-themed Tuesday Program.
