Because of the continued spread of COVID-19 and the Minnesota Department of Health requirement that all clubs and restaurants remain closed through May 1, we have decided to tentatively reopen The Woman's Club on May 5. While this is disappointing, we understand that the health and safety of our Members and guests is paramount during these unprecedented times.
While the Clubhouse is closed to Members and the public, the Club Board and other committees will conduct their meetings virtually. We encourage Club Members to stay connected with each other via email, social media, the Club website, virtual book clubs, and personal phone calls. "We really need to maintain and grow our Club," said President-Elect Gloria Sewell, who is urging Members to stay in touch with one another.
"We want to assure the Membership that we are doing all we can to minimize the impact of this unfortunate situation and return to normal operations in May," said Club President Joanne Provo.
We are dedicated to maintaining a positive outlook in the face of this pandemic. Throughout our storied history, we have survived wars, recessions, political strife, and much more. Despite those struggles, we have always come out of them strong, united and resolute. We couldn't be more proud of our amazing Club and community, and we will get through this together.
