Under President Vladimir Putin, Russia projects an autocratic model of government and is working to destabilize liberal democracies throughout the world. Russiaís efforts to interfere in the US presidential elections caused an international uproar. Putinís foreign policy has included proxy wars with the US in Georgia, Ukraine and Syria. How should the US respond to Putinís attempts to support right-wing authoritarian regimes?
